Quarry Extraction

In the rugged mountainous landscapes, various types of quarries, including open cast, open-air pit, and gallery quarries, can be found. When it comes to quarrying, the choice of reliable equipment plays a vital role in ensuring safety at work and reducing labor time.

Our Oriented Crystals® technique is a game-changer. By applying diamonds to the bead in a specific orientation, we increase the number of cutting edges and enhance the speed of the bead. This innovative approach delivers superior cutting performance, allowing you to work more efficiently and effectively.

BCO-B (Double Cone Shape) EP DW for Marble Quarry
Electroplated beads ø11mm and 10,6mm diamond length USMesh 25/30 - 28 BPM

The new BCO diamond bead designed by Diamond Pauber and its special Double Cone shape increases the cutting speed to an extraordinary value and extends the life to the maximum respect all other electroplated diamond beads.

It's applied in Marble and Calcareous Quarries. It is manufactured with 28 BPM ø11mm and 10,6mm of lenght and with USMesh 25/30 (FEPA D711) diamond grit. The special Double Cone shape, is able to cut 18 m2/h with a production of 80 m2 each linear meter.

The BCO-B diamond wire is assembled in TA-Traditional Assembly with springs, spacers and clamps, or in the most advanced GA-Polymeric Coated Assembly. The TA is more efficient in all dry cut condition, but GA is more secure and it is used to respect the new safety laws.

Block Squaring

After the extraction of blocks from the quarry, the subsequent vital task is to square them, preparing them for further processing. Two primary methods are employed for squaring: utilizing a standard quarry machine or employing a stationary machine.

Although both approaches have their advantages, the stationary machine emerges as the superior and more efficient choice.

The process of squaring the extracted blocks holds significant importance for several reasons. Firstly, it greatly facilitates transportation by enabling secure stacking and loading of squared blocks. This reduces the likelihood of damage during transit, ensuring the blocks' integrity remains intact.

LSR-B Electroplated DW for Marble Squaring
Electroplated tapered shape beads ø10,8mm and 5mm diamond length USMesh 25/30 - 28÷30 BPM

LSR-A and LSR-B are the faster diamond wires for all monowire machines for all Marbles and stones. Its characteristic tapered (conical) shape increases Cutting Speed and Life due these:

  • Reduced Contact Area. Only a few parts of diamond grains are in contact with the material so the reduced Contact Area of the diamond increases the cutting pressure and the diamond can cut faster due the higher pressure. The conical shape permits a faster cutting speed on all materials.

  • Progressive usage of the diamond. The diamond is used progressively, from the external diameter to the inner. When a diamond is completely crashed it's pulled out and a new diamond in the inner part is immediately ready. The conical shape increase the life on all materials. These aren’t the only features we have. Our electroplated beads are made by patented technology named Oriented Crystal®, the diamond grains are oriented and almost all cutting edges are positioned in the best way to start the cut.

Profiling

During this process, a block can be transformed into a variety of shapes using carefully controlled movements of wires along multiple axes, effectively carving intricate architectural forms.

A crucial element in this process is the selection of an exceptionally sharp diamond wire that ensures precise alignment with the desired cut, yielding a clean and professional outcome.

Furthermore, it is equally vital to opt for a highly durable diamond wire to minimize the risk of breakage, thereby avoiding unnecessary downtime and maximizing productivity during the cutting process.

Splitting-001.jpeg

Splitting

When slabs are employed to clad the façade of skyscrapers, enhance the interior of elevators, or adorn luxurious yachts, the utilization of a splitting machine becomes paramount. This machine serves the purpose of reducing the thickness of the slabs, making them thinner and lighter. To achieve this desired outcome, a combination of lightweight and resilient materials is affixed to both sides of the slab. Simultaneously, a diamond wire, renowned for its exceptional cutting precision, is deployed to split the slab into two separate parts. As a result each section of the slab becomes significantly lighter and ready to be employed in specialized applications that necessitate the use of lighter materials.

Gang Saw Blade

A traditional process to obtain slabs from a block of marble, limestone, or calcareous stone.

Diamond Pauber has created different types of diamond segments, from the traditional sintered graphite to the most modern and efficient one, integrating the DIM® technology (Diamond Injection Molding).

The diamond segments can be mounted on steel carbon of 2,5mm 3,0mm and 3,5mm thick or on special stainless steel to avoid the staining of the material with rust.

We also produce different segments with a steel thickness of 1,8 and 2,0mm.
